Overall a very good hotel. I recommend it! But there are pros and cons.
Positive:
- The beach is clean, soft sand, the sea is very warm and clean. But there are often tides.
- The pool is the same warm and clean water in the pool, there are many sunbeds around the perimeter and despite the fact that the hotel rooms are almost always completely sold out, there are quite a lot of free sunbeds. Free catamarans for children and a small slide.
- Rooms – cleaning is excellent, every day. 2 small bottles of water are free (large ones are paid), tea and coffee bags. It's a bit noisy in the afternoon if you take rooms with a view of the pool. But after 10 p.m., it gets quiet everywhere. There is a very beautiful view of the pool from the rooms. The design is updated, everything is quite modern. The feeling that the "hotel is tired" did not arise.
- Food – buffet breakfast, a fairly large selection of dishes. Delicious juices, exotic fruits are always available. The only thing is, there is no porridge.
Minuses:
- The main disadvantage is that you have to pay for a lot of things in the hotel and not a small amount of money. The prices in the restaurant are cosmic. There are many cafes on the street, but because of the widespread unsanitary conditions outside the hotel, they are scary. But there is no way out. They ate in different places (there are many of them) and yet they were poisoned once.
- The area outside the hotel is quite homeless: there are no sidewalks, numerous restaurants along the road, and between them mud, gutters merging into the sea. Unpleasant.
- When buying a tour, you ordered half board, i.e. breakfast is a buffet, and you choose lunch or dinner yourself. You are given a ticket for every day and you can have lunch or dinner in the hotel restaurant from 14:00 to 22:00. BUT: the menu is monotonous every day, drinks are not included (even water is not allowed). And since you come to the restaurant on coupons, for some reason it is less appreciated and the waiters are in no hurry to serve you, they often forget to bring some of the dishes you have chosen. Those who come to eat at the restaurant (without coupons), they are served first of all and the menu is more interesting and varied. Although half-board lunches / dinners are also not cheap, and it turns out to be 2 times cheaper to eat on the street. But it is more dangerous from the point of view of infection.
- All drinks, including water during the day – all for a fee. And no one greets you with cocktails 😊
- There are no animators. Neither for adults (for some daytime activities by the pool or on the beach, as we are used to in Egypt or Turkey), nor for children. If you really want to, for an additional fee.The fee will be arranged.
In general, the service is very metered for quite a lot of money paid for the tour.
- And another thing that slightly spoiled the impression of the hotel is that on the last day of our stay, a children's camp of about 150 children came to the hotel. The hotel instantly turned from a family hotel into a children's sports one: the noise in the corridors, a bunch of children in the pools and at sea, they're about to throw a ball at you, the restaurant is fully booked for them, and the rest of the guests were "relocated" instead of the restaurant to the dining room, where breakfasts are held. I kind of thought that children's camps should rest in separate hotels, and not with families with young children who paid a lot of money for a relaxing holiday, and as a result, there was practically no silence or space left for them. It's good that we left on the day of their arrival. Otherwise, because of this, the hotel would not have earned 1 star. And so solid 4.
The hotel is not worth the money.
This is not the first time we have rested on this coast and every time in different hotels. So this one is not worth the money. Pros and cons:
"+"
*location: 30 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes from the center of Bang Tao, near 7/11 and exchangers, there are good cafes and restaurants nearby, the first coastline.
*Swimming pool. when the season is just beginning and the weather is not stable, it is very saving.
* the breakfasts are quite normal. among the advantages are delicious pastries and croissants, which are rare for Thai hotels. The fruits were also mostly good.
* they clean well, but not always. The maids are the only pleasant staff in the hotel.
*a good refrigerator, there are tea accessories in the room, everything was updated every day (tea, coffee bags)
"-"
* the iron was changed 4 times. One did not work, the second did not fit the plug to the outlet (this is as surprising as possible, taking into account the hotel iron), the third dirty things a lot (fortunately, it was not tested on clothes at first)
* problems with the shower. for the first 2 days there was no hot water, then one evening there was no water at all. The pressure is very weak.
* our room was a regular one with two large beds, but the one on the podium had just a disgusting mattress.
* the prices on site are simply unreasonably cosmic. for example, Coca-Cola by the pool costs 80 Baht, when on 7/11 it costs 16 Baht..
*The rooms are quite tired. There is a separate switch for each lamp, which are located throughout the room, - the quest is to turn everything off.
*Good audibility. Fortunately, I had earplugs with me.
