A small dining room with a very decent assortment, reasonable price and a very convenient location.
Delicious dishes of Belarusian cuisine.
I've been there a few times. Even when passing through, I always try to have lunch here. If you don't have a steering wheel, you'll be happy to roll something stronger, there's a choice. Friendly and helpful girls.
Come on in, you won't regret it.
It's a very nice cafe. We came to see the city, got hungry and went to this cafe. Everything is very tasty! The cutlets are the most delicious. The interior is very beautiful. Music of the 90s.The staff is very polite. For a meal for 3 people, only 10 rubles! Very cheap and useful
We went there on the recommendation of local residents. It looks like an interesting sign, promising, authentic. In fact. 1) the visit is small, does not correspond to passability and needs, there are a lot of people, but the place is small, noisy, crowded, 2) the menu is not very diverse, but you can choose, 3) the girl at the distribution worked flawlessly, and the girl at the checkout struck with her sharpness, 4) my dish (potatoes and cutlet) it turned out to be edible, but my friend was poisoned by a stale potato tortilla (dranik, it seemed to be called) under the sour cream.
The best cafe of national cuisine in Vitebsk!
It is worth immediately realizing for yourself that a self-service cafe, the flow of people is large, but the tables are vacated quite quickly. The food is always warm and fresh, because nothing is delayed due to high demand)
The portions are smaller than in the famous Cornflowers, but in this place the dishes are not so greasy and it seemed to us that the food is more delicious in general. Somehow homely or something)
The location is as good as possible: right in the city center, a few steps from the pedestrian street.
Allergy sufferers should not come!
We've been to this place. What can I say. If you are not allergic and eat everything, then it will suit you.
But! If you are allergic, then don't come in.
I'm gluten intolerant. I informed the seller about this and asked if they added flour to the meatballs. She said she didn't know the menu. They asked to ask the chefs. She asked and said they were adding. They asked about the chicken steak, which should be gluten-free in appearance. We asked the seller, she said very irritably that she did not know and rudely said everything was added. They asked about the soup. There was a pearl barley, which I can't eat either. As a result, we stayed hungry. The girl lays out the food and punches and warms the food at the checkout.
Two stars only for the atmosphere and the idea of this cafe. Otherwise, everything is bad. Firstly, for a place where food is heated in a microwave and you bring it to the table yourself, there is no corresponding price tag. Secondly, the cafe owner saves a lot on staff. In such an institution, you want to see girls in national costumes, but in reality you see tired ladies of pre-retirement age with sad eyes who are not very happy to see you. At least buy them the same overalls.
The food is very good and delicious, cooked well. But there are few dishes. A few salads and only 2 soups (but very tasty), I would like to see more dishes. The staff is excellent and the service is fast. The interior is in the old Belarusian style, beautifully decorated. The only disadvantage is that there are few dishes. And so I advise everyone!
A good dining room, if you refresh yourself and keep warm, the prices are good, I have nothing bad. The food is very good in taste and quality, warm, and most importantly, delicious. But are there any disadvantages?
Yes, they are:
• Lack of variety of dishes. You can be served only two types of soup, 3-4 types of the 2nd course, a small number of types of salads, and drinks.
• There is salt, but only one for the entire dining room. There is no pepper at all.
• There is also one toilet for the entire dining room.
If you want to refresh yourself and keep warm, then this is a good place for you. (It's also worth not forgetting the cons)
In fact, the dining room was of an average level, we were in the evening - there was no assortment anymore. You can eat if you are very hungry, but if possible, look for better places. There is no salt on the tables at all, and they don't give you napkins either. Dranik is a gray flour mass.
It's a good place to have a snack in the city center. I expected, however, that there would be more national dishes in an institution with that name, however, there is mostly standard cafe food. The price is average.
After reading the previous reviews, I didn't really count on anything. This is a dining room, a good dining room!!! I arrived half an hour before closing time and the choice was quite large. The girl served quickly and politely. The food was delicious!!! Cheap! And the location in the very center is very convenient)
Of the cons: there was a company of heavily drunk men, but you can also encounter this in fashionable restaurants (
The buffet system. I've been taking takeaways here. Everything is delicious and I liked it. Pleasant interior, polite staff. An attractive name) Parking is tight.
Super
I will definitely come again, I really liked everything, only the beer is not local, which is strange.
Delicious, inexpensive and very homely. We were with the family two times.
I will not remember the old days for 2 rubles, take as much as you want.today, 100 cognac cutlet puree 2 loaves is a bistro, as the Cossacks said in Paris, a quick drink and a snack in general, simply and quickly and modestly met 10 almost reasonable prices, well, you can go in if you talk to a friend about this and that .
It's very tasty and good girls serve, funny and will tell you everything. A family cafe. Homemade food . Clear. There are interesting paintings on the walls. There are always people, but there is a lot of space, there is enough for everyone)
It's a shame that the place is passable and positioned as a national cuisine, but in fact it's a Soviet dining room with the same food in the form of bread cutlets, gray potatoes and overcooked fish. The same homely distributors and cooks. It was 02/23/2025. It feels like the year was 1982. I do not recommend visiting
The place is terrible. The assortment is small. The food is tasteless, the portions are small, everything is cold, heated in the microwave. The prices, taking into account all the nuances, are high. The staff is boorish. We visited the establishment only because of the location. Don't go there anymore
They've gone down a lot. We were there in 2019 and now in June 2024. If it was even more or less cozy then, recent experience has shown that the institution does not even keep the brand "not bad". There are only two types of soup. The broth was frankly thick with water, chicken fibers were floating. Pancakes with meat only, heated from the microwave. There are no potato or mushroom toasts in sight.
"kKlduns", "babka" and other national cuisine did not even look in, although they remained on the signboard. The second courses were cutlets and three types of side dishes, that's all. A vegetable salad with a spoonful of beans is proudly called "Sicilian". The tables are dirty and sticky. Who cares- there is alcohol on sale, fruit drinks and compote, juice from boxes. By the way, it's not cheap, lunch for one in the region of 600 rubles for Russian money.
Stickers from the street on the windows invite you to taste the Belarusian cuisine))
The family came to taste the goodies..
In fact
-queues
- this is a stupid glass room.. Have a drink and a snack
- my children and I came to taste the goodies-we ate the whole menu, which is very modest there..
The food is not tasty,it is heated in microwaves, and the contingent is different.
This is not a canteen, not a cafe, not a restaurant, not a fancy, not a coffee shop. This is exactly what they call a diner. Drink to the men, have a dranik..
I strongly do not recommend visiting! The menu is meager, the dishes are made on "maybe it will do."
I visited the restaurant in early August 2024: the prices are too high, the quality of the dishes is 1 point out of 5. A cold semblance of soup ("solyanka") - in which, in fact, only pearl barley and pieces of pickled cucumber were present, the fries were dry - it is impossible to eat. The "crown of creation" is the fish "Argentina": it's better to try it yourself, friends, it's something. One of the advantages is an excellent location: the historical center of the city, opposite the Vitebsk Bazaar. I will appeal, if possible, to the supervisory authorities of Belarus: it is not good to spoil the impression of a beautiful ancient city by such institutions.
The atmosphere of the Belarusian house. The assortment is sufficient. Several types of hot dishes, side dishes to choose from. Soups . There are soft drinks and alcohol. If you want to have a budget and delicious lunch, then you are here. The cafe itself is very old. I can hardly imagine Vitebsk without him. Canteen-type service. There is no waiting time. I came, chose, paid, sit down and eat. I love this place for the atmosphere.
I visited the dining room today, and I can say that the impressions were far from the most pleasant. Firstly, the prices on the menu turned out to be inadequate. The chicken chop that I ordered cost 8.93rubles, although according to the price, it costs 6.06 rubles per 100 grams. But nowhere is it indicated that if it exceeds the volume, then the price increases. 100 grams of chop for 6 rubles??? Are you serious?
Mashed potatoes - 2.73p...
Salad 8.34... Excuse me!?
Secondly, the quality of service leaves much to be desired. The staff adjusts the customers, not giving them a good choice. Not the most pleasant experience, to put it mildly.
And finally, the very atmosphere in the room is terrible. It's stuffy, uncomfortable, and you feel in a hurry, not even having time to choose what to take.
In general, I do not recommend it
The most not tasty, old food. We came from another city, went to eat. And horror, the food is old, not tasty. The cheesecake is not made of cottage cheese, but of dough, the pancakes have already dried up, but they continue to sell, the salad is not delicious, the Kiev cutlets are not anything, but dry. I do not recommend visiting this institution. The disappointment is complete.
The price tag is higher than the average in Vitebsk, due to its location in the very center of the city on the Dvina River. I haven't been there lately, but I used to come in quite regularly. Comfortably, in a folk style, there is its own flavor and almost exactly opposite the "cradle" of the "Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk" of the famous amphitheater.
I associate "Bulbyanaya" with a woman of "Balzac's age" who came into the Vitebsk hotel, where I worked, and gave me an artificial flower, saying that she took "Bulbyanaya" from the table. To put it mildly, a "strange" woman with a spring "exacerbation" is remembered when I see a beautiful, carved signboard "Bulbyanoy".
The room is small. The choice of dishes is not great, on Saturday in the middle of the day half of the menu was not available! There is not even a hint of national cuisine. The dining room level!
A good dining room, the food was all delicious, although the choice was small. But, unfortunately, the name does not match. There was no national food, everything was ordinary (except for a cold drink), I would like pancakes, for example
We were guests of Vitebsk. I give 5 stars, because they were hungry. Practically like a dining room, and the food is like in a dining room. Prices were inflated, especially French fries. The staff is attentive.
I really liked the cafe. Something like Moscow Mu-Mu, but the prices are much lower! Very tasty, homemade, clean, varied. The child really liked the smoothie made from kiwi, banana, strawberries. They took it every time💥
Be sure to visit this place - you will become a 100% regular!
Absolutely everything is delicious, pancakes with meat and homemade sausages - well, this is generally something impossible!!!
The interior of the institution is a separate kind of beauty!
It's a pity that there is no parking nearby. This is especially sad in winter, and tolerable in the warmer months.
It 's a great place. The atmosphere is a bomb . It 's like in a Belarusian canteen . Everything is very tasty and most importantly cheap. The staff is fast. I took it , paid for it and eat it . I love this place. Come and eat, you won't feel like it))
It's simple, not fast, but I liked the food more than in the restaurants near the town hall.
The refrigerator is excellent, the dranik with meat is also good.
You can have a nice and inexpensive meal in the very center of the city. It is difficult for people with disabilities to go down and up. It is poorly ventilated.
It seems to be nothing, but it's fussy, we came in to eat in the morning, the queue gathered right away, you need to figure it out quickly, also for the first time in a new place, while on vacation, when you really don't want to hurry.... And so in general it's not bad, but also not Wow, in terms of the deliciousness of the food
For those who want to eat, it will go like an ordinary Soviet canteen. You take the tray and queue, choose the products, and then to the checkout, paid for the table. The prices are normal, the products taste good.. I recommend it to those who want to have a snack, without chic
Honest feedback
The food is not delicious. The pancakes are terrible (fried in old oil), the potatoes are gray. Borscht is normal, we ate it. It "smells" of the Soviet department -class!. There are not even pastry tongs for taking cakes, they offered to take them with their hands.
I haven't been there for a long time, but I always remember with pleasure the pleasant home environment. My Moscow friends like Belarusian cuisine in this cafe.
Absolutely a real Belarusian institution, atmosphere, style, food, service. A USSR-style restaurant with modern additions. The prices are tempting despite the location of the establishment
Until 1991, I studied in Vitebsk, there was a good Bulbyanaya, but now the bank has taken over. Traveling around Belarus, we stopped in the city of youth, we did not like the pancakes, but the sour cream in half a glass is also good. I liked the cold borscht.
An extremely dubious place. It's very cramped and dim inside. There is practically no choice. The food is tasteless, at the level of a very bad dining room. Interior... Well, they tried, but it doesn't look good because of everything else. 1 star can be awarded except for the cheapness of the food
I came here today to eat, ordered mashed potatoes, salad, cutlet and compote, only compote was edible.
To which I told the cook, she replied: Everything is fresh, we are cooking today.
PS They offered to change it for me, but I refused.
The location is like in the basement. It's a little cramped when there are a lot of people. The dishes are second-class cooking. Not quite fresh. The draniki are dead. There is a cafe, in Belarus, of the European level, where the pancakes are the freshest. It's cheap here, but not tasty. Bigus could be eaten.
It is too expensive for a dining room (there is very little space to wait with a tray in your hands (the cost by check is like in a good restaurant )The food is not the first freshness (Mostly heated in the microwave 🧐
My hometown, my native bulbyanaya, I remember it since childhood, I often went there with my mother, I really liked it there, now my mother is not there, I always remember going in. Thank you, you are cool (in the sense of Bulbous)
