Positive:
1. Location in the very center (walking distance to 90% of the sights of Minsk (the remaining 10% by metro, taxi are very easy to reach). There are many restaurants, bars, unique shops within walking distance (5-10 minutes)
2. The entourage of the hotel is Soviet chic (this is both a plus and a minus).
3. There is a restaurant with breakfast, which allows you to eat quickly in the morning before the tour, but in my opinion it is better for such money to go to cornflowers or another restaurant.
4. The price. If I remember correctly, I gave a little more than 11t rubles for 2 nights.
Minuses:
1. The condition of the room (I compare it with Russian chain hotels) is at best threefold: the door handles are loose, the hair dryer should have been thrown out a long time ago, but it continues to work here, plumbing requires maintenance and repair, etc. little things.
2. The hostess girl, in comparison with her Russian counterparts, is absolutely not interested in working and being talked to. She is absolutely parallel to the guests and as a result, she doesn't care if you come yet or not. (she does not willingly answer questions, for example, he asked about the need to exchange the Russian ruble for Belarusian, how the breakfast system and luggage storage work. The girl answered as if I were a complete fool, although I immediately said that I had come to Belarus for the first time. After the eviction, the usual "how do you like it here? I liked everything or we can improve something."
As a result, perhaps I am spoiled by the Russian level of service and find fault. On my next trip to Minsk, I will choose a new hotel to compare with Garni, but this does not mean that I will never return to Garni again.

Good afternoon! We had a rest in Minsk from August 7 to August 10. Specifically, the hotel has a solid five: a nice, cozy room, clean, coffee, tea, kettle, hot water, friendly staff. Next time I will stay at this hotel, the location is very convenient. Now about the hotel restaurant: there are no complaints about breakfast. But one day we went to have lunch. It was our big mistake: the borscht was so thin that it felt like it was just a saucepan rinsed, well, the meat (it was not in the plate at all), but cabbage, beetroot, potatoes.... There was a feeling that these vegetables are in great short supply. By color, a certain pink substance called borscht ... a meat pan ... 400 g, by the way, the weight of the finished dish is indicated. Well, if together with a frying pan, then yes, 400 grams will be quite enough. Well, the prices were quite restaurant prices. Conclusion: I definitely recommend the hotel, the restaurant is only for breakfast, by the way, we have never seen visitors there either in the evening or in the afternoon, this also says something.

There were several nights, I really liked the hotel, the rooms are cozy, comfortable, and well-made furniture. The location is ideal in the center, while the street is quite quiet. It is close to the sights, and also close to the Cornflower restaurant, which is very tasty and popular. The bathroom in the room is spacious, the sink (faucet) was slightly leaking, we got a view of the street, opposite the cinema will open soon, the balcony was pleased, but it's a pity there are no chairs to sit in the evening. But we didn't like the breakfast buffet. The scrambled eggs and bacon are great, delicious, the rest is not very good...and there's not even any fruit. Somehow everything is very modest considering the price, we bought breakfast on the spot once. And we didn't go to it anymore, we ate in a restaurant, for this money you can eat delicious things there, until 11:00 breakfast is also served in almost all restaurants. It is much tastier and more profitable. In general, the buffet was disappointing, it is not worth the money spent. Well, I will not lower the star of the hotel for this. Because the main thing is that the room is cozy. The bed is large and the mattress is comfortable. A fairy tale for relaxation. Everyone at the reception is polite. Let's start with the pros: The hotel is very well located, near cafes, shops, shopping centers. The staff is super, they were very friendly, told everything, showed everything. A week earlier they warned that there would be no hot water in the hotel, this did not upset us because we were traveling for one night, arriving we were pleasantly surprised that there was a boller. The rooms have solid furniture,(she reminded me of the Cosmos hotel in Moscow, only it's newer here). There is a kettle, tea, coffee. The breakfasts are gorgeous, it seems like only a little, but everything is so diverse-it's super! These were the pros, but we didn't find any cons. A chic classic-style hotel in the very center of Minsk. Excellent location, courteous staff, has its own small parking lot. The room is clean, comfortable beds, breakfast... there is breakfast.
Cons: it's strange that in such a very decent hotel there is not even a bottle of water in the room, let alone a mini-bar. But there is a cooler in the hallway where you can fill a kettle with water, as in a decent hostel.

A good hotel for your money, with a good location.
We stayed at the Garni hotel for 4 nights. Check-in is standard, at 14.00. The room was given to us on the 2nd floor, it is very convenient to climb on foot, but by the way there is an elevator.
The building is old, the ceiling height is impressive. The room resembles an office, the furniture is solid. There are massive curtains on the windows, pickups with tassels. There is a carpet on the floor.
The bed is big, the mattress seemed hard to me, but I slept well on it. The pillows are just like my request, not big and also comfortable. The bed linen is snow-white.
There is a kettle in it, tea, coffee and sugar are replenished every day. There were 2 bottles of water (0.5) in the room when checking in. Then they were not put on. But there is a cooler in the hallway.
Separately in the bathroom. There are disadvantages, and this is not a convenient watering can that is low mounted on the wall and very high sides of the bathroom. There were no problems with hot water. The hair dryer is quite powerful.
There is an ironing room on the 2nd floor. The key can be taken at the reception.
The air conditioning in the room is not regulated.
There are no complaints about sound insulation.
Nice friendly staff. Both the reception staff and the maids. The maids came in every afternoon.
We didn't take breakfast, so I can't say anything about the food.

And a significant disadvantage is sound insulation. At night, you can hear everyone walking down the corridor and talking. I couldn't get enough sleep.

There is also a metro station, a railway station and many attractions nearby! Many excursions depart from the town Hall (3 minutes on foot) Gum, Independence Square is also nearby! In general, Minsk conquered us, and the hotel, thanks to its location, made it possible to explore the upper city as much as possible in a couple of days!

Great hotel! The first thing I noticed was the convenient location in the center, not far from the train station. There are many cafes and restaurants for every taste on the quiet street.
The rooms are very cozy and clean. We were especially impressed by the stained glass windows, which create a unique atmosphere in the hotel. The attentive staff was always quick to respond to my requests and this made the stay even more comfortable.
On the ground floor there is a restaurant where delicious breakfasts are served, and in the evening this place with live music is ideal for relaxing.
Overall, I am happy with the Garni hotel and will definitely stay there next time.
