It's a good museum. We were very pleased with the interactive exhibits in the Hall of Culture. A great souvenir shop. There is not enough audio guide. Groups of schoolchildren who were aping in the halls were very much in the way. Perhaps organized groups should have a separate day.
It could have been better. For the Central/Main One, it is weak and sparse, there are many gaps, there is little to see. One discount is that many exhibits were previously "lost". The guides, with all that, well done, the tour is interesting and informative, worth it. The employee at the printing press is pleasant to communicate with, enlightened in detail, enthusiastically about printing, knows a lot and shares information, respect.
By the way, it is not appropriate for "Such a" museum to let some "private owners" do separate exhibitions "for a fee." A strange attempt to commercialize history.
An interesting museum, very patriarchal, which adds extra charm to the space.
The staff is responsive and loves their job!
We had a very useful and interesting time!
Very good impressions, I was at an exhibition of Christmas tree toys. The staff is friendly, everything is clean. It's cool in the building itself, but maybe it's important for the exhibits.
During their stay in Minsk, they visited the National Historical Museum of the Republic of Belarus and did not regret it. There are many interesting exhibits, and the exposition dedicated to the Second World War was very impressive. But, still, I couldn't help but pay attention to some points. Navigation turned out to be illogical for me. And I would like to place temporary exhibitions separately from the main exhibition. The museum has a lot to develop. Perhaps a significant part of the historical rarities are kept in provincial castles and museums. But now there is an opportunity to revitalize the museum halls with an interactive component. In any case, I recommend visiting the museum and do not miss the Museum of Nature and Ecology, which is located in the same building and is a branch of the historical museum. By the way, the staff at the ticket office and in both museums are very friendly and helpful.
Pleasant staff, interesting halls, low cost. We took an excursion for two people - Tatiana conducted it perfectly. However, the tour is only for one exposition (and I would like more).
But the most terrible organization in the museum in terms of logistics: it is unclear which halls are included or not included in the tickets, you need to buy several tickets / buy more if you unknowingly wandered into a hall that is not included in the ticket price. Employees rush around, keep an eye on visitors (they actually track where they are going and where they are now) so that people walk through the halls where they can… This needs to be changed urgently, because of this there is no desire to return at all.
By the way, when requesting that we would like to take a tour, we were offered to go to the office ourselves and find out if we could take it. Well, guys, this is also wrong somehow.
I went to the Christmas tree toy exhibition (4th floor). The building is simple and thoughtful. I liked the exhibition. Toys from different countries. Be sure to ask them to include a New Year's composition.
Very few exhibits are presented.
National Natural Ecological Museum - 2-3 rooms of 18 m2 with approximately stuffed animals. The historical museum has posters, mostly models. There are very few antique exhibits.
There are many important historical exhibits. The staff is very competent and polite. I managed to communicate with the Swiss even during the visit, the impressions are unforgettable!
There are many new models in the museum, but those who understand will find ancient artifacts there. But it is impossible to listen to the wild outlandish game that the guide brings to the masses about how man has evolved! Pay attention to the manuscripts on a typewriter with a sealing wax seal - this is finally atas! In general, a cool museum for those who understand! I recommend : 5 points!
A great museum! Beautiful exhibits, you can walk around and see. There is a hall with animals and birds. It is very interesting and beautiful! There is a souvenir showcase on the ground floor! I recommend going to this place! 👍
There are a lot of impressions. The expositions are informative. The exhibition about Khatyn was very impressive: we saw original documents, things, and photographs. It's scary and embarrassing that people can do this. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Good luck to you.
Still, for a country-level museum, in my opinion, the exposition is a bit poor. And the location of the exhibits is not always logical. A very interesting selection of photographs of educational institutions in the first half of the 20th century
The exposition of the animal world is very interesting, good stuffed animals. The historical exposition without a guide is not very interesting, and there is no audio guide in the museum.
Little and weak. 2 rooms on the 1st floor, the second floor is another exhibition for a fee, the third floor is also half another exhibition for a fee. The information is fragmentary, not very related. It is impossible to book an on-site tour ('holidays, you understand..order a week in advance'), the audio guide service is not provided. The museum is upset
A good museum, a lot of interactive sites, the staff will always help with any question and tell you everything in detail, I really liked the exhibition by mail and postcards, where they can also be purchased and immediately sent
A wonderful museum, there are simply gorgeous exhibits!
And museum people (guides) know everything about everything perfectly well and can tell it in an interesting way.
In a word, I recommend it!
Visitors to the historical exposition. I didn't understand why it was opened at all. 4 halls are nothing to talk about. -1 floor room is dedicated to DOSAF .. 2nd floor of the Second World War in a glimpse. 3rd floor some modern paintings. Where the historical part did not understand. The only place where it was a pity to pay for entrance tickets
A good museum, the exposition is not large, nevertheless I recommend you to visit... then there is a cafe on the same street where you can discuss all this))
A place that I consider a must-visit in every city I come to.
That is why there is something to compare it with!
I expected more from the main historical and local history Museum of Belarus!
The staff is polite, there are temporary exposures. Be sure to use a separate ticket to the Department of Natural Sciences - it's interesting! There is a huge selection of inexpensive souvenirs on the ground floor. That's where the advantages end!
The main exposition is sparse... We need to develop it!
In general, the museum is about nothing, most of the positions do not differ from other CIS museums.
There are some positions that stood out from the rest, but despite this, the tickets are definitely not worth the money.
Not thrilled, an ordinary museum, indifferent caretakers, it seemed that the exhibits were located chaotically. Maybe a guided tour would be more interesting, of course
Unfortunately, by modern standards, it is a very modest museum. None of the topics are deeply disclosed. Perhaps with a guide, it would be more informative.
I really love local history museums. This museum is not impressed.
A very decent exhibition, I was a little shocked that such works are in the National Museum of Belarus, I thought they were all in the Tretyakov Gallery (sorry) The usher girl struck with her humor and erudition, big greetings to her. I recommend it to everyone to visit.
An interesting museum, but somehow the expositions are strangely placed, not in chronological order: they seem to have already got close to World War 2, suddenly antiquities and letter books again and again. Of course, it's worth visiting.
I've been to this museum several times.I advise you and your children to visit the nature museum in the same building.there are both permanent and temporary exhibitions.there is a toilet, a wardrobe, a storage room, a souvenir shop.the staff is friendly.now, in anticipation of the New Year holidays, there is a good exhibition of colorful toys
The museum is so-so for children, it is not interesting at all, and neither are adults. The exposition is not interesting, and these mummies are generally trash. It is better not to take children there at all.But for show, you need to visit.
Before the visit, the task was to learn more about the history of the formation of the country, the museum clearly does not cope with this task, there is only one room where it is very briefly described,
We have been to exhibitions several times, the children really like it. They brought guests of our capital. We watched videos about bison, hedgehogs, and bought souvenirs. We had a great time!
We were with the family. Expectations were not fulfilled. I thought there would be more. There are several halls on several floors. There are a lot of things about the war, and that's right by the way. In Belarus, the memory of the war is felt in everything. The museum is paid, a small fee. There were many children's groups, although the holidays had begun.

The exhibits are wonderful, the staff of the ticket office is very friendly. I would like the air conditioner to work for a comfortable viewing of the exposition. On the ground floor it was even less, but in the hall on the 3rd floor it was +28, and the other one was closed to visitors because of the heat.
We were on January 01, 2024, visited all the expositions at a discount, we really liked it, especially where we managed to get on excursions (join the group). Excursions need to be booked in advance, which is not very convenient. And it's pretty cool in the halls, dress warmly
The guide disappointed me. I don't understand how you can conduct excursions with diction problems and without any interest. They told basic things, but they skipped the really interesting ones. I do not recommend it
The National Historical Museum of the Republic of Belarus is an interesting and useful place. On May 16, 2023, my family and I participated in the Festival "Friendly Family with White Russia". The historical museum hosted the intellectual quest "Whoever seeks, he will find". It is a very informative and fun pastime.
The museum requires renovation and a general concept. While the halls are chaotically located, the story is given in chunks. The logistics are unclear. From the historical hall you get into nature, a ticket is issued separately for the department of nature and for the historical one. Disappointment
And what's national about it? No history. If you don't know anything about the history of the country, then.... Actually, you won't find out. I was not impressed.
I strongly advise you to visit this museum with a guide, in addition to the exhibits you have seen, you will plunge into the historical excursion of the formation of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. And you will also return to the Stone and Iron Ages without harm to your health!
Well organized, I really liked it! But I would like more expositions, given that this is a museum of the history of the republic. Almost all the stands have descriptions in three languages, Belarusian, Russian and English, so even for guests from other countries, everything will be clear.
