The establishment is located in a residential area, not far from the train station. The room itself is small, literally 2 large tables and 3-4 tables for two. There is also a production facility: you can see how desserts are prepared.
We did not understand the concept: either self-service, or employees can serve. No one serves the menu, it hangs near the window. The girls taking the order could not tell if the rum woman would be cooking, although both the cook and the owner were 2 meters away from them.
At the counter they ordered cannoli with ricotta and chocolate chips, with homemade candied fruits, tubes with cream, crostata with apricot jam, tea. The desserts were picked up by themselves, the tea was brought. Canollies are small compressed cylinders of dough, deep-fried, somewhat reminiscent of brushwood. Filled, in fact, with ricotta with chocolate chips or candied fruits. It tastes unusual, indecent. Crostata is a shortbread pie with jam. It's delicious, I liked it. The tubes are like from childhood, completely filled with protein cream. This is a win-win dessert. Tea bags.
The total check turned out to be 30.52 BYN. Quite a nice price.
I really didn't want to give a low rating, because the menu itself is EXCELLENT in terms of variety and quality, and the look and concept are also great. Despite the off-center location, funds (and souls) are obviously invested in this project! But, in our opinion, the staff is not up to the level of the institution's idea. Therefore, for the time being, we want the owners to pay attention, and we are open to returning the rating to all 5, which this institution should fully deserve.
The jokes started at the checkout. We asked the cashier for advice, but she didn't ask what we would be interested in, and started offering some tarts-type items that are available all over the city and are by no means a feature of the establishment (and they have enough chips). To our refusals, the cashier retreated: "Well, then I won't help you in any way, our tastes don't match." To be honest, it sounded very unfriendly. There is zero customer orientation. A misconcept with the concept of the institution.
Unfortunately, we entered at a time when all the tables in the restaurant were occupied. There was a temptation to take a seat while we were in line, but in the end, the customers ahead of us did it. Therefore, when our turn had already come and we had even placed almost the entire order at the counter, I saw that one of the tables had just been vacated, and I decided to put the water bottle I had brought with me (SEALED, not yet opened) on the chair, ostensibly to note that it was occupied and that no one was occupying it. Imagine my surprise when a minute later I saw that the bottle was gone. The waitress came, said she thought the bottle was from previous customers, and she threw it away! Well, let's say we're partly to blame here, it really upset us, we asked to see the trash can, and since the bottle is sealed, we just wanted to take it back. But then it suddenly became clear, according to the waitress, that she had poured out the water and then thrown the bottle away. To be honest, it sounded a little strange for a sealed bottle, but naturally, we couldn't verify the truth of this information. In general, we were not only not offered a bottle of water in return, but we were not even offered tap water in glasses, supposedly all the blame for the missing water bottle was on us. I asked to pour us water from the tap, the staff agreed, but then in fact (with the serving of treats) they didn't bring it to us either, and I went to buy water at a nearby distillery. By the way, we are not homeless, we collected 70 rubles worth of goods from two receipts. Therefore, this attitude of the staff looked strange. Even assuming that the blame is purely on us.
One of the disadvantages of the area is that the establishment is located behind a common entrance door with a wine and vodka shop, from where the smell of cheap liquor wafts. When entering or exiting, this smell seems to accompany you, and on the street, obviously, you can meet bullies. They dilute the bakery's customer base. Probably, the staff was recruited from the nearest area, because there is no sense of a service culture, but perhaps a socially useful job creation function.
However, the yummy things themselves are just super, a piece of Italy in Minsk, the shop windows and the rest of the entourage are chic! Grand respect to the owners, but please put the staff in order!
A delightful place! Pastries and desserts are divinely delicious, there are many unusual ones (for example, the Sicilian Rose cake) that I have not tried before. Cannoli are simply the best! There are also meat pastries: pies, onion tart (I highly recommend it), pies. A chef from Italy! The guys are very sincere and attentive! The prices are quite affordable, the coffee is very tasty.
