A huge selection of meat, clothes and shoes, went purposefully for meat, bought a lot and at a good price, got high from the fact that you can just bargain)))
There are a lot of things: spices, nuts, fruits, vegetables, various meats, including horse meat, cheese, butter and much more. But don't worry, Mom, the prices are high. Emotionally, you need to be in the mood to bargain and not give in to pressure, including insults.
I add to the review: there is a very unpleasant aftertaste from buying nuts and dried fruits at the Green Bazaar. Super scammers work there. I don't even recommend contacting you. Now we understand why there were people everywhere (where meat and milk are sold), but no one around them. Now we're burned too
A famous place in the city! The green is getting better and better every year. There is everything on the Green and the location is convenient - you do not need to go far.
The Green Bazaar has been the hallmark of the southern capital of Kazakhstan - Almaty for many years! Any guest of the city should visit there and feel the oriental flavor of fruits, spices, bread and pastries, herbs and spices, oriental sweets, and just the warm hospitality of Alma-Ata residents! You can eat oriental dishes, buy groceries for the road. With this place among the green streets, there have always been only warm memories of Alma-Ata and its inhabitants for many years!
The pride and business card of the Southern Capital!!! A great place to buy everything you need to cook the most delicious dishes! A huge selection of fruits, vegetables, dried fruits, pickles, meat, fish and dairy products!
I'm thrilled! I know that a few years ago, this did not happen. Beautiful flower beds, sidewalks, beautiful lighting, and most importantly, a good mood for residents and guests of the resort town of Pyatigorsk. Thanks to the city administration and the Governor of the Stavropol Territory.

Very clean, a large selection of products, there is a cafe. We did a lot of shopping, especially in the dairy department. The kind saleswoman told me everything and gave me a taste. The only drawback is the obsessive tea sellers. In fact, we did a favor by deciding to buy tea by weight, but in the end they charged us more than three times the real price. Avoid the tea aisles, do not take sweets as a gift.
A historical place, you can say, all tours are brought. You can find almost everything at the bazaar, prices are different everywhere, you need to go to choose, you can bargain
The best in Kazakhstan, a large selection, cleanliness all around, pleasant walking and choosing vegetables and products. But the problem is with parking, there are not enough places.
A typical oriental bazaar with a very wide range of delicious and varied products! I recommend it both for shopping and for sightseeing purposes for tourists. It is located almost in the city center, it is very convenient to get there. You can try everything and bargain!
Hardly anyone does not know or at least has not heard about the Green Bazaar. I remember it not so big, without these modern pavilions, but just with wooden rows and counters. Then, in the 80s, a two-storey pavilion was built, on the ground floor of which Dried Fruits from Uzbekistan were sold. Then, in the 90s, buildings along Pushkin joined and finally, a new pavilion along Makatayev. Everything can be found on the Green. Of course, those who want cheaper come early in the morning. Although this custom has already been leveled at the present time. It is also more convenient to go in the morning towards Kaskelen and buy more and cheaper there. As always, there are fish, meat, poultry, milk, vegetables and fruits on the Green. In addition, clothes, dishes, building materials have been added since the 90s. In the late 80s, a farm pavilion was built. So he gave development to this direction. The Green Bazaar is one of the attractions of Almaty. Now a flea market has been added, but the Green Bazaar is known at all times. Almaty residents definitely go to the Green at least once a month, or even more often. As for the nearby residential areas, Green is an indispensable attribute for them to visit, because you can buy everything your heart desires there. I myself drive on the Green with pleasure. I buy fresh meat, fish, vegetables and fruits. Home delivery is good, but Green, where you can see, touch, choose, is much better.
What distinguishes this bazaar from all the others is the cleanliness inside, it's nice to be there, even there are almost no flies. But you have to pay for comfort - prices in this market are slightly higher than in other bazaars. It is better not to buy nuts and spices from the main entrance (where there are meat rows), but go downstairs, it is a little cheaper there. What I don't like: there used to be ATMs at least of the Halyk Bank, now they have been removed and a jewelry department has been installed, well, so-so exchange. Now there are no ATMs and this is inconvenient - the market loves cash, but there is nowhere to take it at the bazaar itself.
A real Soviet market in the good sense of the word, if you need to buy fresh meat, fruits, vegetables, then you are definitely here.
It is possible to buy dried meat, kyzy in different types, farm meat products, everything will be packed in plastic for convenient transportation and, upon request, a certificate for the products will be issued if you take it to another country by plane.
An authentic place. It is considered one of the sights of old Alma-Ata, it is a pity that the Akimat does not remember / knows about it. In fact, many tourists visiting our city go to the Green Bazaar just to hang out, watch, and maybe buy something.
A poor market. The only thing in abundance and variety is meat.
The rest is all the same from sellers, as if they are being purchased from one big supplier. The milk is of very average quality, there is also a fake, and the rest is also all "stamped". The saleswoman's aunts are almost all evil))
There is no soul, no individuality. But I go, and where else?
Hand on heart, the markets in Russia are better, more honest, more abundant, and the sellers are friendlier. And more private traders with their home-made products. And here even the grandmothers on the street are outbid. It's strange why this is so.
A bazaar where you can find a lot. A good selection of fresh meat, including lamb and horse meat. A good assortment of dried fruits, nuts and teas. As for prices, it is necessary to bargain in many ways, local merchants, realizing that you are a visitor, immediately try to make the price x2, or even x3, not all of course, but in many cases I did it this way).
The freshest fruits and vegetables , the freshest beef , lamb , duck , chicken and fish ; there is no such product that was not sold at the green bazaar , almost all local products
You know, the oldest bazaar, a unique place, excellent quality of food products, but still I would like more balanced prices in relation to other urban bazaars. However, the Green Bazaar is just a lot for tourists, the prices, of course, are somewhat higher than the city ones, but being a tourist, I think it is unwise to dissect the city in search of prices below. If you want real kazy, smoked horse meat, magnificent mutton, you are here, gentlemen tourists.
Historically famous place, there is everything, as a reflection of the cuisine of all nationalities living in this region of the country, here are Kazakhs, Uighurs, Dungans, Koreans, Russians, Uzbeks, Kazakhs, I highly recommend it!)
All products are of good quality, everything is fresh.
It is a good opportunity to purchase the necessary goods for the home, for the household, for repairs.
A variety of goods in order to please relatives and friends with gifts.
Large - the area, the variety of goods and the flow of people)) You can buy anything, the main thing is to find what you need for a pleasant price)) Dirty (((Unfriendly sellers (if you don't buy from them () It can be a quest for inexperienced tourists)
Not the best bazaar. The only delicious meat is basturma type. The choice is small. We usually leave the market with large packages. They managed very little here.
A favorite place where you can buy everything you need: kashchi, zhaya, drink and buy koumiss, irimshik, kurt with you. Everything is very tasty, they will pack it with high quality and issue a certificate if flight and transportation to Russia are necessary.
The green bazaar is a good choice of products, there is everything you need, and the prices, acceptable mainly, vegetables and fruits are cheaper than in supermarkets and shops at home. But the meat in the "meat" Republic was surprised by the high cost! At the flea market, we bought souvenirs home, too, there is a sufficient choice of everything. Only after reading on the Internet about the amount of money spent on the reconstruction of the market, we almost fainted, what happened before! And what did they do so special! Apparently, the money went into someone's pocket!
One of the oldest bazaars in the city, which has undergone many reconstructions, but has not lost its popularity with people. It always pleases with the abundance of excellent and fresh goods, the friendliness of sellers, the opportunity to bargain. I recommend an indispensable visit.
I strongly advise all tourists to visit this very picturesque place. Bargaining is possible. There are many goodies that cannot be found in stores. Divine prices for things, you can find interesting souvenirs for family and friends.
It's a good place. For every taste and purse (if you know where to look). Your own "world" and the relationship between the buyer and the merchant. Definitely, the choice is the most diverse... It's only bad with prices... Sometimes, the "entrepreneurial spirit" of individual merchants is simply surprising... But if you know where to look, it doesn't hurt. I definitely recommend it!
The Green Bazaar is one of the best markets in Almaty, you can find any product here. Sometimes the prices here are slightly higher than in the bazaars on the periphery. Over the past decade, the bazaar has expanded, so that it is difficult to get around in a day. I've always liked him. Since the 80s of the last century and still I enjoy visiting our Green Bazaar
An incredible, colorful, delicious food market. The prices are high. But you can bargain from the bottom of your heart, and the quality of the products, the choice, is simply incredible. All meat products are carefully packed in a vacuum, and certificates are given for export by plane.
It is ideal for high-quality shopping of ethno products.
A lot of people, it's okay in the slot, there are cheap good goods, I advise everyone, there's also a degerman, it's generally a bomb, I bought and also ate, I advise everyone
A magical place. They will feed you. they will get drunk, they will not take money :) I highly recommend it to tourists - there is a real good flavor of Kazakhstan there. A wonderful place, the prices are just fabulous - we did not regret that we decided to visit on the recommendation of the locals.
Prices for nuts and cheeses are high, but you can and should bargain. Prices differ in different departments, study them.
You can buy inexpensive textiles, scarves, wool socks, dishes.
One of the most important places for the citizens. There is always a large selection of good fresh products, richly presented on the shelves in an oriental way. I buy products here, I can try everything, see with my own eyes and communicate with friendly sellers
Super, there are high-quality modern things, inexpensive, But if you take the food, then be careful, there are no refrigerators and the food lies like this all day.
It's a cool place, a real oriental market, everything is mixed up, but prices are at the maximum, you can buy cheaper in shopping malls. Maybe we can bargain, but we haven't tried.
It's expensive compared to wholesale markets, but you can find what you like. Good sellers with good goods have been standing in one place for many years and therefore value their customers. An excellent choice in the meat pavilion. You can successfully buy local berries, mushrooms, and apples. Excellent farming departments. Minor inconveniences with the renovation made it possible to transform the premises. All changes for the better
The Green Bazaar is a historical place of the city and even in Soviet times! It was a center of commerce and attraction for entrepreneurs! The best products and goods were the best ! That was before:
Now:
There is no normal paid parking because of this, car Chaos and nightmarish traffic jams are created, a lot of spontaneous trade along the road because of this, the impression of the market deteriorates, as they say, they stuffed dots on every square meter!
The products are very expensive, which clearly do not match the quality! It takes a lot of energy and strength to overcome systemic obstacles! There is a lot of garbage from boxes and bags everywhere! For me, it's better to go to more civilized Hypermarkets or shopping malls to shop there!
The market is rich (in Almaty they say the bazaar), which is just not there - as always, as in all times and years. The choice is huge, the atmosphere is truly hospitable, noisy, but this is the atmosphere of the "Green Bazaar". I will be glad to return here.
This is the pride of our city. This place is a must-visit. The flavor of this market is amazing. The prices are reasonable. You can find anything. For the most part, the sellers are very friendly and good-natured. I advise everyone.
There is no better place on the planet. Excellent, tube, vibe. What could have been found was found, and what they didn't want was also found. Have you arrived in Almaty? Right here!
