# The Yandex app and user data (Android)

When you use the app, Yandex collects and sends [data](#data) to its servers. All data is processed by Yandex according to the terms and conditions of the [Privacy Policy](https://yandex.com/legal/confidential/?lang=en), the [Cookie Policy](https://yandex.com/legal/cookies_policy_eng/?lang=en), and the [License Agreement to use the <q>Yandex for Mobile</q> program for mobile devices](https://yandex.com/legal/search_mobile_agreement/?lang=en).

If no region is specified, then it is determined automatically by IP address. ||

1. Go to the option **Save search history** and turn it <q>Off</q>. ||

You can only opt out of data collection, which cannot be disabled by the app settings or by your device's system settings, by deleting the Yandex app.
